SDHC Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan – Public Hearing Comment Review

The San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) is revising its Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan (ACOP).

As a public housing agency, SDHC is required to develop an ACOP, which outlines and identifies policies SDHC will use in the administration of its Public Housing Program.

SDHC is soliciting public comment on proposed ACOP program and policy changes. The ACOP will be available for review on the SDHC website, beginning on June 3, 2014.

Comments must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2014, to be considered by staff and decision-making authorities in their final review of the proposed ACOP.

Please send your written comments to:  Chris Garrabrant/ACOP, San Diego Housing Commission, 1122 Broadway, Suite 300, San Diego, CA 92101 or email your comments to chrisg@sdhc.org.

Public Hearing:

SDHC will hold a public hearing on the proposals at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the SDHC Achievement Academy, 1045 11th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101.

The revisions of the ACOP are due to changes in federal regulations and changes in SDHC policies described in SDHC’s Fiscal Year 2014 Moving to Work Annual Plan.  If approved, the ACOP and other documents will become effective on September 1, 2014, or upon annual recertification thereafter.
