Services We Need

The San Diego Housing Commission contracts with hundreds of vendors to supply needed goods and services to support the agency’s day-to-day business operations. These include but are not limited to: 

·         Consultants (legal, architectural, engineering, financial, investment, real estate, photography)

·         Development and construction (affordable housing, property rehabilitation)

·         Office services/equipment (temporary employment, supplies, payroll, computers, printing, copiers)

·         Building maintenance (landscaping, inspections, plumbing, supplies, painting)

·         Other services (cleaning, security, travel, uniform supplies, storage, trash disposal)

In addition, SDHC partners with individuals and businesses to deliver effective housing assistance programs and services to low-income families and individuals. Opportunities include: 

·          Rental Assistance Program (rental property owners)

·          First-Time Homebuyer Program (mortgage lenders)

·          Affordable Housing Development (for-profit and nonprofit housing developers)

·          Workforce & Economic Development (social service providers, banks)

Section 3 Program

SDHC and its contractors provide job training and employment opportunities to eligible low-income individuals in San Diego County. In addition, SDHC also offers training and support for low-income housing assistance residents who want to start their own businesses.
